Thing about wired cameras is that it's easy to trim the wires to get them through a hole in the wall and then connect them up in a waterproof junction box - ethernet cables the same just needs a bit more practice wiring the end on and crimping it be sure to buy a crimping tool off eBay and some boot ends.
It's a flat cable so can be passed through a windowframe which is good.
